Nyifon live in a small part of Buruku LGA, mostly near the Benue River; their language, spoken by a few thousand, is endangered. Utonkon (Ufia) are a minority in parts of Ado LGA with a distinct dialect and their own rites of passage, marriage customs and music styles. (Its placing of Benue's Jukun 'in border areas like Wukari' is not used: Wukari is in Taraba.)
