The Bata are a people of Adamawa State, named by Wikipedia among the state's ethnic groups. Other names include Gbwata. Blench's Atlas places their language, the Bata member of the Bata cluster (Chadic), in Numan, Song, Fufore and Mubi LGAs and in Cameroon. The sources place them in Demsa, Fufore and Girei LGAs.
