Hausa

The Hausa are a people native to northern Nigeria and southern Niger who speak the Hausa language. In Benue State they are a minority, with communities in Makurdi and some other towns.

Overview

The Benue State Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning lists the Hausa among the state's peoples. The state government's own list does not include them. According to Wikipedia, there are two large Hausa communities in Makurdi city, in the Wadata and North Bank neighbourhoods, and small ones at Katsina-Ala and Zaki Biam.
