Igbo

Evidence: Multiple sources

The Igbo are a people whose homeland is in south-eastern Nigeria. In Benue State there are Igbo communities in the southern LGAs near the Enugu and Ebonyi borders.

Wikipedia's Benue State article lists the Igbo among the state's peoples. The two Benue State Government lists do not. Blench's Atlas records Izi, an Igboid language, in Benue State as well as in Ebonyi.
