Alago is a language spoken in Awe and Lafia LGAs of Nasarawa State, according to Roger Blench's Atlas of Nigerian Languages (2020), which classifies it as Idomoid. Other names include Arago; Idoma Nokwu. The Atlas cites speaker figures of at least 100,000 (Blench 2017). Its varieties are named after the towns of Agwatashi, Assaikio, Doma and Keana.
