Medicinal Uses
Leaves are used across West Africa for wound healing, and traditionally for menstrual disorders, dysentery, gonorrhoea, fevers, and skin eruptions; leaf extracts are documented to speed wound contraction in scientific studies.
Cultivation
A wild scrambling shrub of forest margins and fallow land, not commonly cultivated.
