Description
A medium to large deciduous savanna tree with feathery compound leaves and very hard, dense wood known locally as bangawanga.
Food Uses
Roasted seeds are eaten, and boiled, fermented seeds are used in small amounts as a condiment.
Cultivation
A wild savanna tree, harvested for food, timber, fuel, and charcoal rather than cultivated.
