The Fantswam, called Kafanchan by the Hausa, are a people of southern Kaduna State, named among its peoples by Wikipedia's list of the ethnic groups of Kaduna State and Wikipedia's 'Southern Kaduna'. They speak Kafancan, a member of the Tyap cluster (Roger Blench's Atlas of Nigerian Languages, 2020). The Atlas places their language in Kachia, Jema'a, Zangon Kataf, Kaura LGAs.
