The Ham Chiefdom is the traditional state of the Ham, whose ruler is styled the Kpop Ham. According to Wikipedia, Jonathan Danladi Gyet Maude, born in 1938, has been Kpop Ham since 1974. Jaba LGA is named after the Hausa name for the Ham, who occupy most of it (Wikipedia). A dated recent source on the chiefdom was not found.
