Ikere is a Yoruba kingdom of Ekiti State, and its ruler is the Ogoga of Ikere. In August 2025 the state government named the Ogoga, Oba Samuel Adejimi Adu Alagbado, chairman of the Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers (AllAfrica). The town also has an older title, the Olukere, whose holders, according to Wikipedia, claim to be the rulers of Ikere, while the town recognises the Ogoga. In October 2021 the Ogoga's chiefs rejected the state government's recognition of the Olukere as an autonomous ruler of the Odo-Oja quarter, citing a 1987 commission that had described the Olukere as a priest of Olosunta (Peoples Gazette).

- Verified: Supported by an official source, or by two or more independent sources that agree.
- Well documented: Supported by credible sources, but not yet independently confirmed.
- Reported: Found in a credible source; further corroboration is welcome.
- Needs corroboration: The evidence is thin or incomplete; more sources are being sought.
- Disputed: Credible sources or community accounts disagree; the differing accounts are noted.
- Uncertain: There is not yet enough information to classify this responsibly.
Sources are marked official, academic, reference, community or general web. Sources that copy each other count as one. Oral traditions are recorded as traditions, not as proven fact.
