The Kajju (Bajju) Chiefdom is the traditional state of the Bajju. According to Wikipedia, it was created in 1995, after the Zangon Kataf crises of 1992, when separate chiefdoms for the Atyap and the Bajju were created from the Zazzau Emirate; its first ruler, Nuhu Bature Achi, died in December 2021, and Luka Kogi Yabwat, Agwam Kajju II, was appointed by Governor Nasir el-Rufai and took office on 24 December 2022.
