The Lafiagi Emirate is the traditional state of Lafiagi, the headquarters of Edu LGA, a Nupe-speaking area of Kwara State (Wikipedia). Its ruler is the Emir of Lafiagi. In July 2023 Emir Alhaji Mohammed Kudu Kawu hosted the emirate's Sallah Nko festival, a yearly gathering at which the village heads and the people of the emirate pay homage to the Emir during the Eid celebrations (New Telegraph). The emirate's history is not described in a source read.
