The Odyong Nyankpa is the traditional ruler of the Nyankpa and holds one of the 22 first-class traditional stools of Nasarawa State listed by Daily Trust in 2012. Education Monitor News (2020) calls him the Odyong Nyankpa of Panda in Karu LGA, and reports that the ruler had then been on the throne for twenty years. Panda is one of Karu's INEC wards (Panda/Kare).
