The Sarkin Bwari is a traditional stool in Bwari, Federal Capital Territory. According to Wikipedia, Musa Ijakoro, of the Koro ethnic minority and from the Suleja Emirate, was turbaned District Head of Bwari in 1976 and raised to second-class status as Sarki of Bwari in 1997 by the Ministry of the Federal Capital Territory; his son succeeded him. Daily Trust (2018) names the father Alhaji Muhammad Musa Ijakoro, gives his death as 29 August 2017, and reports the Koro position: that the stool was inherited, not newly created, and that the Koro settled in the area before the Gbagyi. On Christmas Day 2017 a clash between the Hausa and Gbagyi communities over the chieftaincy dispute left two people dead and the Bwari main market burnt (Wikipedia). Alhaji Awwal Ijakoro was the Sarkin Bwari in December 2025 (News Agency of Nigeria). The archive records the relationship between the two Bwari stools as an open dispute.
