Ashe is a language spoken in Karu LGA of Nasarawa State, according to Roger Blench's Atlas of Nigerian Languages (2020), which classifies it as Plateau (Koro). Other names include Ache; Koron Ache. It is also spoken in Kagarko LGA of Kaduna State. The Atlas cites speaker figures of 35,000 including Tinor-Myamya (Barrett 1972); eight villages between Katugal and Kubacha (2008). The Ashe share their name for themselves with the Tinor-Myamya, and the Atlas notes that this name is the origin of the term Ejar.
