Che is a language spoken in Bassa LGA of Plateau State, according to Roger Blench's Atlas of Nigerian Languages (2020), which classifies it as Plateau (Ninzic). Other names include Ce, Kuche, Rukuba, Sale, Inchazi. The Atlas cites speaker figures of 15,600 (1936); 50,000 (SIL 1973). Mark appeared in 1924 and John in 1931.
