Daba is a language spoken in Adamawa State, according to Roger Blench's Atlas of Nigerian Languages (2020), which classifies it as Central Chadic (West Central group: Daba group). It is spoken in a single village between Mubi and Bahuli, in Mubi LGA (since divided into Mubi North and Mubi South); most of its speakers live in Cameroon. The Atlas cites speaker figures of fewer than 1,000 in Nigeria. Scripture portions have appeared since 1984, and a New Testament translation is under way.
