Kami is a language of Niger State, according to Roger Blench's Atlas of Nigerian Languages (2020), which classifies it as Nupoid (Nupe). The Atlas places it at Ebo town and eleven villages in Lapai LGA. Speaker figures in the Atlas: more than 5,000 (1989 estimate).
