Ningye is a language of Kaduna State, according to Roger Blench's Atlas of Nigerian Languages (2020), which classifies it as Plateau (Ninzic). The Atlas places it in five villages along the Fadan Karshe–Akwanga road, directly north of Gwantu: Kobin, Akwankwan, Wambe, Ningeshen Kurmi and Ningeshen Sarki. Other names include Ningeshe. Speaker figures in the Atlas: fewer than 5,000 (2003).
