Ninkyop–Nindem is a language of Kaduna State, according to Roger Blench's Atlas of Nigerian Languages (2020), which classifies it as Plateau (Ninzic). The Atlas places the cluster in Jema'a LGA; Wikipedia lists Kaninkon among the subdivisions of Jema'a LGA. Its members include Ninkyop, Nindem. Other names include Kaninkon, Kaningkwom, Ninkyob. Speaker figures in the Atlas: 2,291 (1934, Ninkyop). Glottolog lists it as Kaningdon-Nindem.
