Reshe is a language of Niger State, according to Roger Blench's Atlas of Nigerian Languages (2020), which classifies it as Kainji (Western Kainji: Lake group). The Atlas places it in Yauri LGA of Kebbi State and Borgu LGA of Niger State. Other names include Tsureshe, Gungawa, Gunganci. Speaker figures in the Atlas: 15,000 (1931); 30,000 (1973). It has three dialects; seven readers were published before 1967, and a Bible translation is in progress.
