Toro is a language spoken in Akwanga LGA of Nasarawa State, according to Roger Blench's Atlas of Nigerian Languages (2020), which classifies it as Plateau (Alumic). Other names include Turkwam. The Atlas cites speaker figures of about 2,000 (Blench 1999). The Toro live in one large village, Turkwam, about two kilometres south-east of Kanja on the Wamba–Fadan Karshi road.
