Tsupamini is a language of Niger State, according to Roger Blench's Atlas of Nigerian Languages (2020), which classifies it as Kainji (Western Kainji: Lake group). The Atlas places it in Borgu LGA of Niger State and Yauri LGA of Kebbi State, in villages on both shores of Lake Kainji. Other names include Lopa, Lopanic. Speaker figures in the Atlas: 5,000 with Rop (1992 estimate). Glottolog groups it with Rop under Lopa (lopa1238).
