The Aten are one of the indigenous peoples of Plateau State named by Wikipedia. Other names include Nìtèn. Blench's Atlas places their language, a Beromic language, in Barkin Ladi LGA and in Jema'a LGA of Kaduna State; Ethnologue's name for it is Iten. Ethnologue lists their language in Riyom LGA.
